Night at the Abbey returns for 2017 on 8 September following being shortlisted for Small Event of the Year at the National Outdoor Event Association Awards 2016.
This year’s event will return in a blaze of light, music and colour, bigger and better than ever before with a fantastic line-up of local music delighting audiences from when the gates open at 5.45pm.
The four main stages are situated throughout the abbey grounds including within the crypt of the Lady Chapel and inside of the Abbot’s Kitchen, each set to feature an eclectic mix of music in a wide selection of different genres.
We are proud to announce that Glastonbury favourites, Flipron will headlining this year’s event, delighting audiences with their unique, upbeat melodies and lyrical wonder. Supporting them on Dan’s Stage will be Port Erin, a fantastic alternative band who are touring all over the country this summer and Bristol based, Harry and the Gondolas.
Across the other stages popular favourites return including Tim Hawthorn, Steve Henderson and the wonderful Minor Works Unit who’s sounds are familiar amongst the abbey walls. We are also delighted to welcome new performers to the event including The Bad Cowboys, Craig and Alex Priddice and Tom Dummer.
Delicious food, a selection of local ciders and ales and a fun Facepainting station will also be available throughout the evening providing the perfect end of summer celebration for the whole family to enjoy.
