Yes! Dogs on short leads are very welcome at the abbey. We even have treats, and dog ice cream is available in our seasonal Café.

Dogs are required to be on a lead during your visit for the safety and enjoyment of other visitors as well as the diverse array of wildlife in the grounds. There are dog waste bins near the wildlife hut and near the museum. Do not put dog waste in the recycling bins.

Glastonbury Abbey is accessible to wheelchair users and has a network of paths throughout the grounds. The entry and exit via the museum are both accessible. There are some small inclines and the site has a lot of parkland which is maintained and accessible.

Unauthorised ceremonies of any kind are not allowed on site as they can cause a disturbance to other visitors and may not reflect the Christian heritage of the site.

Please enquire with 4 weeks’ notice if you have a request to hold a ceremony or event of worship anywhere on the site, stating numbers, the nature of your proposed ceremony and which area you would like to use.
