Monks at War Exhibition

Monks at War Exhibition

A number of Monks from Somersetís Downside Abbey served as chaplains to the Forces during the Great War (1914-1918). The Downside Abbey Archives hold letters, diaries and pictures of these chaplains chronicling their experiences of the Great War.
