Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson has answered our questions as to what you can expect at Saturday’s Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza and more.

The music legend will be on stage along with Grammy-award winning singer Corinne Bailey-Rae and the Black Dyke Band with gates opening at 4.30pm.

Q: There are quotes from a range of music greats from both sides of the Atlantic and from different generations praising your music – whose music do you listen to and why?

- I listen to The Rolling Stones and the Beatles I like groups, I like their music and how they sound together.

Q: You’ve been called the Mozart of Rock, the Gershwin of your generation – how do you like to describe your music?

-Very harmonic and spiritual.

Q: What advice would you give to young people wanting a career in music?

be strong , don't do drugs and be a good singer and songwriter always follow your gut.

Q: What is your favourite from your back catalogue?

California Girls, Good Vibrations and In My Room.

Q: If you were holding a dinner party, who would you want to have there (they can be dead or alive) and why?

Paul McCartney and Elton John I love their singing.

Q: What can the audience at the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza look forward to hearing?

God Only Knows, Surfer Girl, Wouldn't it be nice, and Salt Lake City.

Q: You have played Glastonbury Festival previously – what was a highlight? Did you get chance to visit Glastonbury Abbey?

The highlight was the concert but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see the town.
