Victorian Shopping Evening

Come and do  your Christmas shopping in the abbey shop during our Victorian style evening from 5pm to 7pm

Traces Revealed Artist Workshops

Saturday 2nd December 2017

On Saturday 2nd December there will be two workshops with Hiro Takahashi, one of the ‘Traces Revealed’ artists.
The first is for adults 10.00 – 12.30. This gives you the opportunity to make a Tree of Life tea light holder and cost £25 (10 places)

The second is for children 1.30 – 3.30. The children will make a Christmas tree decoration and costs £10 (10 places)

Hiro will then take what you have made back to her studio to fire in the kiln, with items being returned on the 18th December so you have them for Christmas.

Christmas with the Churchill Singers

Sunday 10th December 2017

Join the Churchill Singers in the Abbot's Kitchen for some festive singing from 2pm to 3pm. Normal admission applies.

Abbey Wildlife Tour - 2pm

Sunday 17th December 2017

Come and enjoy a Wildlife Tour of the abbey with one of our volunteers and discover the creatures who share the site.

The third Sunday of every month except April.

Normal admission applies.



We are committed to making the abbey and events held at the abbey accessible to everyone. We may provide disabled ticket holders (who would be unable to attend without a PA - personal assistant / carer / essential companion) with a ticket at no additional cost for their PA, if they are in receipt of one of the following:

  • Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility
  • Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Evidence of being severely sight impaired
  • CredAbility Access Card (+1 category requirement), see
  • A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card

If you do not have any of the above evidence but are unable to attend the abbey without a PA you are welcome to post or email copies of any additional evidence that supports your application. Applications are judged on a case-by-case basis. Tickets for events are sold on a first come, first served basis.

If the event is organised by an external organisation, the above will not necessarily apply and you will need to liaise directly with the organisers. If you wish to contact the organisers please contact and we will put you in touch.
