Strode College - Macbeth
Thursday 26th April 2018
Strode College Performing Arts students explore the power of greed, and the
consequences of ‘wanting it all’ in their adaption of Shakespeare’s Macbeth,
conceived especially for performance at the abbey. Come and be transported to
a world of mystery and mistrust in this
exciting promenade production.
Theatre gates open at 6pm.
Tickets £10 Adults, £8 Concessions.
St Dunstanís Day
Saturday 19th May 2018
There will be a short talk on St Dunstan in St. Patrick’s Chapel (free with admission) Times to be confirmed.
Living History will give their usual tours but with extra focus on St Dunstan, and there will be self-guided info sheets also available (free with admission).
The Gregorian Chant workshop (pre-booked and payable for participants) but available for visitors to listen to.
Music from Michael Tyack (free with admission) Time to be confirmed.
St Dunstan themed colouring sheets, quizzes and word searches (free with admission).
Compline service in the Lady Chapel, 5pm.

Romeo & Juliet - HandleBards

The HandleBards are the world’s first cycling theatre company. Before touring their “seriously silly” production of Romeo and Juliet around the world, they pedalled it 1500 miles around the UK by bicycle, with all the necessary set, props and costume in tow. Now, the show is back by popular demand and, in usual HandleBards style, expect riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.
Advance tickets £15, £17 on the gate.

Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza 2018

The amazing Paloma Faith will headline this year’s Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, on Saturday 4th August 2018.
Advance prices are adults £35 and £20 for a child aged six to 16. Any remaining tickets will be available on the gate, priced at £40 adult and £25 for a child. Accompanied children aged five and under do not require a ticket. Booking and postage fees apply. Terms and conditions apply.
Camping is sold on a first come, first served basis and is only available when tickets are purchased.
People who bought vouchers which were on sale from December 17 until 6 March 2018 were sent an email link to purchase camping.

We are committed to making the abbey and events held at the abbey accessible to everyone. We may provide disabled ticket holders (who would be unable to attend without a PA - personal assistant / carer / essential companion) with a ticket at no additional cost for their PA, if they are in receipt of one of the following:
- Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility
- Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Evidence of being severely sight impaired
- CredAbility Access Card (+1 category requirement), see www.accesscard.org.uk
- A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
If you do not have any of the above evidence but are unable to attend the abbey without a PA you are welcome to post or email copies of any additional evidence that supports your application. Applications are judged on a case-by-case basis. Tickets for events are sold on a first come, first served basis.
