Announcement: Postponement of Glastonbury Abbey Medieval Fayre
With regret we are announcing that we are postponing the Glastonbury Abbey Medieval Fayre set to take place in April. In making this decision we are being mindful of the fact the government will potentially have to take further steps in limiting public gatherings as many of our European neighbours already have in order to limit the communication of the Covid-19 virus. The safety of our employees and visitors is paramount and we would of course follow any guidance to limit the spread of the disease. This is most likely to occur within the next month (if at all) so we are postponing the event from the 18th and 19th of April to the 18th and 19th of July to ensure we can offer this and other events in 2020.
It is not a decision that has been taken lightly and has also been taken with a view towards the long term future of the Medieval Fayre and other fundraising events at Glastonbury Abbey. Should we continue to work towards staging the event and have to cancel at the last minute this would have a disastrous effect on our fundraising budget for this year as well as the budgets of our production partners.
If you have a ticket for the Glastonbury Abbey Medieval Fayre that ticket will remain valid for the fayre in July. If you require a refund please email firstname.lastname@example.org (for online tickets) or call into the shop with your physical tickets from Monday the 16th of March.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
