Glastonbury Abbey Update July 31st 2020
This is the current information for visitors looking to visit Glastonbury Abbey from the 3rd of August, 2020.
As reported in the previous news, the whole site is now open apart from the toilet block. The disabled access toilet is open but the rest of the block remains closed as it cannot be accessed within the social distancing guidelines. We have portable toilets situated between the cafe and the Abbot's Kitchen.
Please observe the one way system when entering buildings and follow all guidance while on site.
The abbey will extend its opening days to include Tuesday's from the 3rd of August. This means that the abbey is now open from Tuesday to Sunday with weekday opening hours 10am to 4pm and weekend opening hours 10am to 5.30pm.
We will also open on the bank holiday Monday on August 31st 10am to 5.30pm.
Last entry remains 45mins before closing.
From Tuesday 3rd of August visitors to the abbey will be able to book their visit in advance on the abbey website. From this date the abbey has reverted to its standard admission cost.
However, we have extended the sale of multiple visit tickets to the end of August. Anyone wishing to purchase 5 visits for £15 adult or £7.50 children can do so at the ticket office upon arrival. The visits can be used up until December 31st.
We are very pleased to be able to offer a limited programme of outdoor events during August. Please check our What's on page here for further details.
If you have any queries about our entry policies or events please get in touch by emailing email@example.com. Please be aware that replies may take a few days due to current staff levels.
