Corporate Membership launched
Glastonbury IT business PCs PCs and Sherborne Web Design are the first companies to sign up for the abbey’s new Corporate Membership Scheme.
The scheme has been launched as a way of involving businesses in supporting the abbey and enabling the community to utilise its facilities.
James Stone, Membership Manager, said: “There are a host of benefits to being a corporate member including being able to have your own networking event within the abbey as well as tickets for events and membership cards.
“We are hoping it will be useful for local businesses who may want to use the abbey to entertain clients or simply as somewhere restful for their employees to go during breaks.”
Amy Bentley, PCs PCs, business manager, said: “We are really pleased to be part of the scheme and have already made use of some of the benefits.
“Holding our networking event in the abbey museum with the backdrop of the beautiful abbey ruins was a real hit with our attendees. The professional events staff at Glastonbury Abbey made co-ordinating the event stress free and allowed us to dedicate our time to the attendees.
“PCs PCs would definitely recommend the membership to all businesses as not only will you reap the benefits but you know that you are helping support a great local cause.”
Paul Cooper, Director at Sherborne Web Design, said: ““We are have worked with the team at Glastonbury Abbey for over 10 years and have always viewed it as a mutually beneficial partnership. This new initiative helps bring us and the wider business community even closer to the abbey. We are pleased to be one of the first Corporate Members and look forward to making the most of the excellent facilities at the abbey; we are already planning a networking event for our clients and business partners to showcase both what we and the abbey have to offer.”
