Additional camping space for Extravaganza available
Festival creator Michael Eavis today announced additional camping space for the 2018 Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza after the original allocation sold out in record time.
Paloma Faith is to headline the Extravaganza on Saturday 4 August and demand for tickets and camping has been very high.
Michael said: “I know how so many people like to make a weekend of it in Glastonbury for the Extravaganza which is really good for the town and local businesses too. I am really pleased to have been able to find some more space but it’s still limited numbers; so the message is please don’t wait to book or you could be disappointed!
“After a really cold and wet winter, I think we are all looking forward to a lovely summer evening listening to a fantastic performer staging one of the best shows we’ve had here, and we’ve had a fair few.”
Last year Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys ensured very Good Vibrations while in previous years headliners have included Ray Davies, Robert Plant, Van Morrison and Status Quo.
The Extravaganza takes place in the spectacular surroundings of Glastonbury Abbey and will end with the traditional firework display at 10pm.
Advance tickets cost £35 for adults, £20 for a child aged six to 16 who must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Accompanied children aged five and under do not require a ticket. Booking and postage fees apply. Terms and conditions apply.
