Celebrate the Festive Season at Glastonbury Abbey

Celebrate the festive season at Glastonbury Abbey as Santa takes a break from the North Pole on Saturdays in December plus an array of other events.
There’s a Victorian Shopping Evening at the abbey shop on November 22 where you can indulge in some shopping and enjoy festive refreshments from 5pm to 7pm.

The abbey is also taking part in the town’s Frost Fayre on November 25 and will be open for free from 12 noon with activities for children including icing biscuits, reindeer tree decoration and make a Popcorn ring decoration for the Christmas tree all of which is available for a small donation.
Street Sings Choir will be welcoming visitors with festive music. Visitors can also wander through the historic and tranquil grounds with festive refreshments available.

On the 10th December the Churchill Singers will be signing festive songs in the Abbot’s Kitchen followed by festive drinks between 2-3pm.

For the first time Santa is taking a break from the North Pole at Glastonbury Abbey on three consecutive Saturdays in December - 2, 9 and 16 - between 11am and 2pm.

You can book your slot to meet him in the Abbot’s Kitchen, listen to a festive story and give him your Christmas wishes.

Afterwards you can also see his Reindeer and have a photograph taken in his sleigh and enjoy all the abbey has to offer.

The price is per child and is to meet Santa only - abbey admission needs to be added when you make your booking and is at the online advance price.
