Reflections on almost a year volunteering
It's almost a year ago that I started volunteering as part of the Wildlife Team at Glastonbury Abbey.
I came as an enthusiastic amateur with a love of wildlife and history.

End of year round-up 2017
Firstly, 2017 has been seen a few changes to the wildlife team in Glastonbury Abbey with the addition of several new volunteers to our fold bringing new knowledge and experience to the team and new ways of looking at things and interpreting what we have observed over the course of the year. more

September Round Up
The first of September saw the first day of autumn (Meteorologically speaking) and the Autumnal Equinox was on the 22nd this year, so it is now fair to say that we are well into autumn and as such the weather has changed accordingly and this has affected the flora and the fauna of the Abbey.

Big Butterfly Count
This is ideal weather for butterfly watching or a bit of lepidoptera in you want to be technical about it. It just so happened that the 2017 Big Butterfly Count was running from the 14th July until the 6th August. more

Three month round-up
