Glastonbury Abbey Takedown Policy
Although every effort has been made to publish content that does not infringe any person’s rights or applicable UK laws, we recognise that sometimes material published online may be in breach of copyright laws, contain sensitive personal data, or include content that may be regarded as obscene or defamatory.
If you are a rights holder and are concerned that you have found material on our website for which you have not given permission, or that is not covered by a limitation or exception in national law, please contact us in writing stating the following:
1. Your contact details.
2. Full description of the material, sufficient to identify it without ambiguity.
3. The full URL (web address) where you found the material.
4. The reason for your request, including but not limited to, copyright law, privacy laws, data protection, obscenity, defamation etc.
5. If the request relates to copyright, proof that you are the rights holder and a statement that you are the rights holder or are an authorised representative.

Notice and Takedown procedure
Upon receipt of notification, the ‘Notice and Takedown’ procedure is then invoked as follows:
• We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint by email or letter and will make an initial assessment of the validity of the complaint including verifying the identity and authority of the complainant.
• Upon receipt of a valid complaint the material will be temporarily removed from the website pending an agreed solution.
• Glastonbury Abbey will attempt to resolve the issue swiftly and amicably with the complainant and to the satisfaction of both parties, with the following possible outcomes:
The material is left unchanged, or
The material is replaced with changes, or
The material is permanently removed.
If Glastonbury Abbey and the complainant are unable to agree a solution, the material will remain unavailable on our website until a time when a resolution has been reached.
