The Glastonbury Abbey Refund Promise

Our promise is that, in exchange for an additional fee, we will provide you with a refund for any unused booking if you are unable to attend the booked event due to any of these circumstances:

• Unexpected disruption of the public transport network.
• Your death, an accident or an illness that means you are unable to attend.
• The death, accident or illness of any person in the group due to attend with you, if they are the only other member of the group.
• The death, accident or illness of any person in the group due to attend with you, if they are a member of your immediate family.
• The death of a member of your immediate family who is not part of your group, which occurs within 4 weeks prior to the date booked.
• Pregnancy which occurs after the date of booking, and where the expected date of delivery falls within 4 weeks of the date booked.
• The breakdown, fire, accident or theft en route of a private vehicle taking you to the booked event.
• Jury service of which you had not received notice at the time of booking.
• Burglary or fire at your residence within 48 hours of the booked date.
• Being summoned to court as a witness, of which you had not received prior notice at the time of booking.
• If you are a member of the armed forces, being posted abroad and/or having leave withdrawn unexpectedly of which you had not received prior notice at the time of booking.
• If you are an employee of the emergency services and are required to attend an emergency and/or have leave withdrawn unexpectedly of which you had not received prior notice at the time of booking.
• Adverse weather conditions for which the Met Office have issued a red weather warning or where a government or police warning against travel has been issued.

If the above conditions are fulfilled, we will refund you the full purchase price including any booking fee. Please note that you may need to provide evidence of the above circumstances in order to receive your refund.

Refunds will not include travelling or associated other expenses (unless travel costs are included as part of the total booking price, in which case we will refund the amount of those costs so included).
