Family Volunteering Event - Making Bird Feeders for our Feathered Friends

Come along to this special family volunteering event and celebrate the RSPB’s Feed the Birds Day!

Join us in the abbey grounds on Friday 30th October to make a variety of bird feeders to help our local bird populations thrive in the colder months. You'll be making three different types of bird feeders: Wild Bird Cereal Hearts, Wild Bird Apple Bird Feeders and Peanut Butter Tubes.

This free and fun activity is designed for children aged 5+ and their families, with two 1.5-hour sessions to choose from: 11am to 12:30pm, and 12:30pm to 2pm.
 
Included in this activity:

• FREE entry to the abbey all day!
• Nature-themed crafts to enjoy when you finish making your bird feeders
• A 10% discount in the Yard Cafe, where you can warm up or refuel with hot drinks, lunch, snacks and sweet treats

Places are limited so please make sure to book a space below for each child taking part. Parents/guardians do not need to book a space. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
 
Allergens: If you have a nut allergy, please note that we will be using peanut butter in one of the activities. The peanut butter tube activity will take place on a separate table; there will be no cross contamination with the other activities.

It also provides a wonderful opportunity to observe and appreciate the variety of birds in your area while contributing to their well-being.
